The requirements for this assignment are that students need to find an argument: any statement arguing a position on some issue. It need not be long, but it should be substantive enough so the student can get five pages of analysis from it. I want you to summarize the author’s arguments’ main points, and explain the reasons the author gives for them. What is the reason the author gives to believe what he or she is saying? Explain the main points then write a strong response where you either agree, whole or in part; disagree whole or in part, or offer a different conclusion. There needs to be only one source, the argument you’re analyzing, and I want you to cite it correctly on a separate sheet at the end of the essay. The essay is to be five pages, double spaced, with a twelve point font and one inch margins all around. It will be due September 11th, or if you’re in the MW class, September 12t
