For this assignment, you will use Part V (Chapters 10 and 11) of An Introduction to Biblical Ethics: Walking in the Way of Wisdom and critically analyze two different philosophical ethical systems, comparing and contrasting them with a Christian perspective on ethics.

Each of your responses should be 300-350 words and should include at least three biblical references and any additional references when answering the questions for this assignment.

  1. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of Kant’s approach to making moral decisions. What can Christians learn from Kant and what should they reject?
  2. Identify the strengths and weaknesses of a utilitarian approach to making moral decisions. What can Christians learn from utilitarianism and what should they reject?
