Many careers are influenced by government regulations. Health care is one of those careers, If we are to advance the cause of quality patient care it becomes imminent that doctorally prepared advanced practice nurses get involved in the political process.
Requirements:
Write an objective policy brief regarding an issue relevant to health policy. A policy brief is a concise summary of a particular issue, the policy options to deal with it, and some recommendations on the best option. (at least 1,000 words). Include the following:
- Executive summary
- Introduction
- Approaches and results
- Conclusion
- Implications and recommendations
- Graphics and tables may be included as appropriate
- References at least 3 scholarly research sources related to this topic with in-text citations published in last 5 years.
Part 2: (this is additional to the above 1000 words requirement).
- Write a letter to local/federal official explains your position a nursing administrator and offers suggestions on how the official should move forward with the agenda from your policy brief above.
