Unit 8 Assignment: Financial Plan In order to retire and live comfortably, you must make plans for the future. It is important for you to start saving early in life for your retirement. For this Assignment you will complete the following worksheet of the plan:  8.1 Retirement Needs  Review and revise your Financial Plan as necessary Once you determine your retirement needs, answer the following questions in a Word document:  What have you learned from completing your retirement calculations?  Are there adjustments you need to make now? Any and all information you submit will be kept in the strictest confidence. The information will not be used for anything but grading purposes and no files with your personal information will be kept. If you are not comfortable using your current personal financial information, you can use projections of how you want your finances to look after graduation or use a multiplier to adjust the numbers.

In Unit 8 you will examine the need for a good retirement plan. The Discussion will lead us to Social Security programs which you have paid in to all of your working life, and to the big question, “Will Social Security be there when you retire?” Besides Social Security you will examine annuities, employer sponsored retirement plans, IRAs, and other plans available to you to have a secure retirement.
