You will develop your own question for essay 2. It must be on Karka’s The Metamorphosis, but you have the freedom to develop your own reading in ONE of the following areas:

1. Gregor’s relationship to his father

2. Gregor’s relationship to his sister

3. Gregor’s relationship to money

The topic will be refined into an argument .

You will also find a secondary source on your own to use in constructing your argument. The secondary source is not necessarily something you will agree with (although it could be). What you should think about as you look for this source is whether it helps you to articulate your own ideas about The Metamorphosis. Do NOT use Wikipedia , notes, shmoop, etc. You must use an academic secondary source.
